Big Smoke were a legendary indie-rock/alt-country band in Melbourne, led by extraordinarily talented singer and songwriter Adrian Slattery. Adrian was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer in 2015 but recorded this incredible debut record before he died at age 30 in 2016.

The album was mixed in Melbourne with the band by LA-based Grammy Award winning producer/engineer Shawn Everett (who has also worked alongside Alabama Shakes and Margaret Glaspy). This release of Time is Golden is on black vinyl
