Matau Records vinyl tune of the day - "I Wanna Be Adored" by The Stone Roses
Released as a 7" single on vinyl by The Stone Roses in 1991 on Silvertone Records. It was the first song on the from the Stone Roses' self-titled first vinyl LP released in 1989. The B side of the vinyl single featured a previously unreleased track "Where Angels Play"
The Stone Roses are an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1983. They were one of the pioneering groups of the 'Madchester' movement and featured vocalist Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani, and drummer Reni.
The Stone Roses reformed in 2011 to play a number of gigs in the UK and these intermittent gigs continued in 2012 and 2013. There are persistant rumours that the Stone Roses will release new material.
